| Medical History | For years T'Mena has had to have a slim athletic body because she couldn't be anything else as being a former borg drone, her implants could be disconnected if she put on weight. All the muscles in her body have no fat on them, her blood system is coated with a nanoprobe alloy that bleeds the energy from regeneration to the nanoprobes that course through her arteries and veins. All the outside implants dropped off, and she felt the nanoprobes shutting down. Her skin started to look more pink with an ivory tint due to her Vulcan physiology. Up until 2401 when the USS Enterprise destroyed the borg queen and the last cube, she had chosen the colour of her skin to get used to becoming more Vulcan/human as time went on. T'Mena has Vulcan and human physiology, so she has the heart and lung system of a Vulcan, with blood of a human. Her heart was with her liver, just a little above her liver so it was protected by her rib cage. Her heart also beats at half the pace that a full Vulcan heart would but is still faster than a human heart. T'Mena's bone structure including teeth had the Vulcan strength in them but she didn't have the anterior tricuspids that most Vulcans would have. She had no appendix but did have mitochondria. T'Mena's respiratory system wasn't what it used to be, but she had made up for it by using the nanoprobes to extract the relevant amount of oxygen from any atmosphere that she encountered, whether it was thin or thick. She struggles with her body temperature being all over the place as she lost more of the borg implants and metals, as they conducted heat and it had screwed her ability to control her body temperature by herself but again countered it by using the nanoprobes to regulate it. T'Mena struggles with lack of oxygen and temperature regulation now but she is unable to do certain things due to it. T'Mena is very sensitive to high pitched sounds, light sensitivity and certain high sugar and carbohydrate foods but can still eat many foods, but she has to give herself and body time to adjust to each food. Having the physiology of both human and Vulcan, her digestive system can sometimes disagree with new foods. Mental Health upto being freed from the Borg T'Mena has a Vulcan/human brain which makes her conflicted all the time, because she wants to control her emotions from being too strong but also feel those emotions as well. As a borg drone amongst the collective, she was subjected to the entrapment of her own mind and her state of oneness with the collective. This had a serious affect on her emotional and mental wellbeing and state. It was like being poisoned with trellium-D. As a child, she had learnt some emotional control but as a borg drone, it wasn't enough to help her stay in control, and so the emotions constantly overwhelmed her and that led to a out of control spiralisation of her mental health and wellbeing, but she couldn't let it out. When she was rescued from the borg collective in 2380, the first thing that T'Mena did was scream and then burst into tears, which then degraded into a full mental breakdown. No human doctor, counsellor, psychologist or psychiatrist could help her because they required her to be able to communicate in words. The telepathic Counsellors, T'Mena shut out and one counsellor who was persistent, she put in the padded cell next to her, by showing the counsellor her nightmares and her torment that she felt. Then there was a Vulcan ambassador, who was visiting and she was able to calm T'Mena and build protective neural pathways around the neural pathways for T'Mena's emotions, by mind-melding with her. As time went on, she learnt to control her emotional and mental wellbeing and the mania stopped being a problem. She gained skills that she thought she didn't have before as well as new skills. For T'Mena, she was a child in an adult's body and growing quickly. Mental Health from five years after being freed from the Borg Collective T'Mena became an outgoing, courageous, brave, kind, caring woman. She learnt many skills including the religious and cultural skills of Vulcan. |
