Background Information

Personal History 2355:

Morgan Harrison born to Malcolm and Katrina Harrison, Katrina being a schoolteacher, and Malcom being a local security officer.

2360:

Morgan starts to take up Martial Arts, Karate, Kickboxing, and Ju Jitsu, watching his father train daily. Neither parent has an interest in leaving their small town, and Morgan is happy to learn from his father, and goes to school where his mother is the headmistress.

2365:

Having spent five years training, Morgan focuses on his martial arts and his plan is to follow his father into local security/police, wanting to keep his hometown safe. It’s small, quiet, and he’s friends with plenty of people.

2369:

Tragedy comes to the Harrison family as it’s revealed that there is a hidden Orion Syndicate cell operating out of the town, and Malcolm Harrison finds out about it. He calls for support, but this leads to a battle in the town. By the end, the cell evacuates, but before leaving, the leader kills Malcolm and Katrina, and tries to kill Morgan, but Morgan successfully hides, with the cell forced to leave before they can find him. Morgan is taken in by his father’s best friend, but Morgan swears revenge and spends all his spare time learning to study computer forensics, and his martial arts and combat skills, learning Parkour and pushing himself.

2373:

After Malcolm graduates High School, his teachers all recommend he joins Starfleet, with one even inviting him to meet a Starfleet Recruiter. Morgan rejects the offer, however, and leaves Earth, joining a mercenary group. He still wants revenge, and he wants to track down the man who killed his parents, remembering the man’s face perfectly.

The Merc company helps in the fight against the Dominion as the war begins, so Morgan sees plenty of combat. He shows his skill in both hand to hand and marksmanship. He also begins keeping trophies of Ketracel White vials, as do most of the merc company.

2375:

Two years after joining a mercenary group, he has been taken under the wing of the lead Merc, Ryan Locke, and starts to get better at stealth, also learning the importance of order within the universe. Locke explains how the reason the universe is so dark is the lack of order, and he teaches Morgan all about creating order, managing people, organizing intelligence, everything needed to give Morgan a level of peace he had been seeking for years.

The Merc company helps Starfleet in several battles as the war ends, including helping to retake Betazed from the Dominion. At this point, Morgan is getting used to the horrors of war and battle and is a little cold towards anyone not in the merc company. He has his plan for revenge, but he wants to learn more about battle, becoming stronger and better.

2381:

Ryan Locke is killed in battle, and Morgan takes over the Merc group, renaming it Vindicta Corp – Latin for Revenge – when he learns that Locke was killed by the same Orion Cell that killed his parents, so he starts hunting the cell down. He also has his team take multiple contracts, earning large amounts of latinum.

2385:
Morgan and his team find the Orion cell, and begin a six-month war, ending with Morgan leading in the charge against the cell, destroying them. As they finish up, the USS Delaware arrives, having been tracking the same cell. Morgan, tired of the blood on his hand, is ready to leave, but Captain Reynolds, a Starfleet Veteran, invites Morgan to join Starfleet, to help build order. The two have a long conversation, and Morgan leaves without joining, but keeps in touch with Captain Reynolds. After three months, Morgan wraps up Vindicta, and accepts Reynolds offer, as long as he doesn’t need to fight anymore, having more blood on his hands than he’d like.

Morgan travelled back to Earth, finding himself in his old family home, which still belonged to him but had been empty since he had left Earth twelve years earlier. After settling in, Morgan began training at Bootcamp, starting as a Crewman Recruit. He also takes up cooking as a hobby, something he learnt to see as an art form.

Morgan found himself appreciative of the strictness of Starfleet ranks and the discipline, though some of his classmates were less disciplined. They enjoyed parties, and to relax, but for Morgan, he was more dedicated than the others, spending his free time studying the ins and outs of Starfleet. He found himself curious as to how people were studying, but years as a Mercenary had taught him to be strict with himself. His training lasted three months, ending in December, but he put himself in for Advanced Training, beginning in the new year.

2386:

As Morgan joins Advanced training, he was promoted to Crewman, impressing his tutors. Whilst he wasn’t the oldest in the group, the rest of his class looked to him given his history as a leader. Morgan told them to ensure they found their own purpose. Of course, he still wasn’t sure about being in Starfleet, but he still put everything into his training.

Of course, he was top of the class in hand-to-hand combat, with his instructors suggesting that he go into Security, or perhaps even the Marine Corps. Morgan accepted the compliment, but told his instructors that he wanted to keep with his plan, working as a procurement officer, and sticking behind the scenes.

After six months, he graduated, and was promoted to Crewman First Class, and was assigned to the Delaware as a Procurement Officer and as Captain Reynolds Aide.

2387:

Morgan Promoted to Petty Officer 3rd Class by Reynolds, who has helped Morgan to become an expert at Starfleet paperwork, organization, and helping the man find more about how he can help people. Reynolds trusts Morgan and assigns him to away teams where he learns about the good Starfleet is doing and helps people. The Delaware is assigned to help set up new colony outposts in the Beta Quadrant. Morgan becomes more of an expert in Computer Forensics, as well as planning and designing. He develops relationships with a number of different groups outside of Starfleet, ensuring the colony outposts are well supplied in case Starfleet struggles, helping to ensure that each colony is successful. This is a five-year mission for the Delaware.

2392:

The Delaware is finally decommissioned, with Reynolds being promoted to Admiral, and is assigned as Commander of Starbase 814. Morgan goes with him, and with the Starbase being a newly built Starbase, Morgan helps Reynolds continue to set up the Starbase, and the colony on the planet in the Keltaran System. Using his contacts, Morgan becomes a valuable asset for the Starbase, with a number of Starfleet ships counting on his skills during repair and resupply at the Starbase. Morgan develops a reputation as the right officer when something difficult is needed. Morgan attributes this to his contacts and his knowledge of outside of Starfleet. Morgan is also promoted to Petty Officer 2nd Class.

2394:

Morgan is promoted to Petty Officer 1st Class during his continued work with Captain Reynolds.

2397:

Admiral Reynolds injured in battle, but survives thanks to Morgan, who is underestimated by the attackers, raiders who are trying to set up a criminal enterprise. Morgan dispatches the attackers in hand-to-hand combat, with Starfleet reinforcements arriving in time to deal with the ships. Morgan uses his considerable skills to track down the attackers, though it takes several months. However, the attackers are found, and Starfleet dispatches them.

2400:

Morgan is promoted to Chief Petty Officer, continuing his work at Starbase 814. His time is often peaceful, though he still continues to train in combat. He begins to date finally, allowing himself time to find some level of peace.

2402:

Morgan is promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer, and is asked by Admiral Savok to join the USS Cygnus, since they need a Chief of the Boat, and Morgan’s skills are perfect. He is asked due to the fact that the Cygnus has been through some difficult missions, and the Captain, Bane Plase, could use some assistance after a hard mission, with Morgan’s skills in procuring practically anything. He accepts the assignment, and meets Bane Plase, immediately liking the man and becoming friends with him.
