Mission:
Shoreleave
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: During Shoreleave
ON
Captain Bane passed through the barrier that was the doorway from the corridor to Sickbay. Looking around, he was pleased to see there were so few people in here, both in terms of patients and medical staff. As far as he was concerned, the compliment of the crew were on shore leave and needed to be off ship, or at least relaxing. There were far better facilities on Deep Space 9, and on Bajor, than the Cygnus could provide, and that included medical.
Even being pleased, he still needed to find those stragglers that had not yet doffed the ship. Dr. Kin'Fuji was among those that had not yet left. Making his way over to the feline officer, he greeted her. "Hello, Doctor. Surprised to find you in here."
"Good morning Captain. I was taking the chance to organize my reports." Kin'Fuji said. "Also, we need Medical personal on board for those not on leave."
Plase nodded. "Well then, good work," he said, a cheerful uptick in inflection. "Hopefully you'll have time to enjoy some Shore leave? I hear there is an amazing festival kicking off tomorrow.
"Christina and I are planing to take K'tress in the morning." Kin'Fuji said. "That is why I am covering here today."
"Oh, that's great," Bane stated. He had hoped to get with Christina and plan something with her, but he didn't let that show. "Where are you all headed? What's the plan?"
"I am not sure, Christina wanted to plan it out." Kin'Fuji said with a sweet smile. "If you need to speak to her, she is in Engineering, I believe."
The smile on Bane's face remained, but his eyes told a different story. "I know where she is, Lieutenant. I was asking you, as I am interested in you, your take, your thoughts, and what your desires are. Call it crazy, but sometimes a Captain likes to try to get to know his crew, and one of those ways is finding out where they are going, and what they are interested in." His tone remained friendly, his eyes returning to match the small smile on his face.
After several long moments of silence waiting for her to respond, Captain Bane continued. "Ooookaaayyy...well, you enjoy your shoreleave, Lieutenant. I'm going to continue to make my rounds."
