Mission: Outbreak

=/\= Captain, there is a call on hold for you. It is Captain Poket,=/\= said Lieutenant Asgard, who was on the Bridge.

"Thank you, Lieutenant. Please put it through in here," Bane said, referring to his Ready Room. Bane thought he knew what this message was about. A moment later, his holographic computer terminal blinked to life before him, the vision of the Cardassian station's commanding officer center. "What can I do for you, Captain Poket," Bane asked, smiling warmly at his counterpart on the station, and ensuring he pronounced his name correctly this time.

"It's what I can do for you, Captain Bane. My Chief of Operations informs me that the repairs and resupply of the Cygnus is complete. I've entered into the logs as of this time and date that your ship is back on active duty and ready to leave dock."

Bane inhaled and smiled warmly. "That is good news indeed. I believe the crew is all back aboard now. We will contact Ops when we are ready to depart."

Poket nodded. "Do you know when that will be, by chance? I just received word we have a contingent of Romulan Warbirds en route needing repair and resupply as well. We could certainly use the birthing space being occupied by the Cygnus.

"Oh, I cannot imagine much more than ten or fifteen minutes, Captain."

"Good," Poket responded. "Plus, I want you gone so you cannot steal any more of my officers," he said, a sparkle in his eye, and a barely-there smile on his lips. Both indicated he was ribbing Captain Bane.

The Captain of the ship smiled back ever-so-slightly. "We'll be back."

Poket had to laugh. "That is good to hear, Cygnus. Be safe out there. Poket out."

The screen went blank, followed shortly thereafter by the holographic display blinking out of existence. Bane stood and made his way around the desk, tugging down on the front of his tunic as he did so, thinking there was some sort of name for pulling on the tunic, though he couldn't readily remember it. The Plackerd Maneuver, maybe? It didn't matter.

As the doors opened from his Ready Room to his Bridge, he saw so many familiar faces, and a few new ones. He nodded slightly to Lieutenant Bast, sitting at the Operations station, then spotted Lieutenant Seitha at Tactical and Security and nodded at him. At the back of the Bridge, with his back turned to the Bridge was Lieutenant Spangler, working on something at Science Station One. He was busy working on something, and Bane didn't need to distract him for anything right now, though Bane would certainly think of something soon. To the right of the Captain's chair sat Counselor Morak, having convinced her to come aboard with her experiments. Finally, just getting out of the Captain's Chair was Lieutenant Commander Larsen, the Executive Officer, giving way command to the Captain.

"Thank you, Mr. Larsen," he said, sitting down. The seat was almost uncomfortably warm; he would have to remember to tell the Executive Officer in private that he had a hot ass. He may need to get that checked out in Medical, so he didn't want to draw attention to it with everyone else on the Bridge. "We've been cleared by DS9 to depart. Commander Larsen, please begin undocking procedures. Once we are clear of the pylons, please make 1/4 impulse to the edge of the system. Set course for the Antiocian Star System, your discretion on speed." He looked around at the crew. "Let's go seek out and discover a new civilization, shall we?"
