Mission:
Enigma Variations
Location: Quarters
Timeline: MD 0600
Delenna had been so busy that she didn't have time to be social. She was either working in Sickbay, research on the Thelusian flu, or counselling sessions.
She didn't even address the people of the Fourth Wall for that time. She had just got out the shower in her quarters.
---------
"oh hi," addressing the people. "It has been busy. We have greeted a new civilisation and we killed the majority because of malfunctions. We are now banned from the planet and when we do go back, I hope that the descendants don't hold this fuck up against our descendants. I am going to pen a letter to the Th'Losians, letting them know what we have done since to solve the issue that caused so much death for them.
I feel for them so much. I have to control my empathic abilities so much because everyone all over the ship is feeling guilty about what happened and I feel all that and my own feelings. There is so much guilt felt about the Th'Losians and somehow, everyone has to live with the guilt and I have to counsel them while I feel that same guilt and live with it. How I do it, I do not know. I would say I deserve a medal but I'd hand it back due to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Th'Losians."
Delenna paused and sighed. "I don't know anymore."
----------
Delenna walked away, out of her quarters and got into the turbolift to start another day. Another day counselling, seeing patients, being in her own head, feeling grief, feeling guilt, and just going on about her day.
