"Good morning, Lieutenant," Bane said pleasantly to the young lady at the desk, which stood sentry to the office of Rear Admiral Savok.

Savok was a close personal friend of Captain Bane Plase, both officers having served together for many years. Though in those days, Bane outranked Savok. Bane was not salty about this. In fact, it was quite the opposite. Bane had been very pleased to recommend Savok for his own command after Savok had served with Bane as his Executive Officer on the U.S.S. Bloembergen. Bane had been extraordinarily proud when Savok had subsequently promoted to Captain, and years later, was elated to be at his promotion ceremony when he earned his first star to become a Flag Officer.

The young Lieutenant looked up and smiled. "Good morning, Captain. What can I do for you?" Her smile was pleasant and welcoming.

"I'm here to see the Admiral. He called for me."

The Lieutenant looked down and referenced her display terminal. "Hmm..." she indicated. "Ah, here we are. Captain Bane Plase. Yes, the Admiral is waiting for you. Just through those doors," she pointed, turning in her seat to do so.

"Thank you, Lieutenant. I hope you have a wonderful day."

The Lieutenant was taken aback by this. "Uh, thank you sir." Bane didn't know it, but this was the first time a senior officer, other than Savok, had ever paid her more attention than just being the secretary for the Flag Officer of the Sector. It would be a high she would ride for a long time to come.

Bane knocked on the door, then stepped through.

"Ah, Captain Bane. It is most agreeable to see you," Savok said, watching to see who would be coming through the door. He had several meetings lined up for this morning.

"Good morning, Admiral. It is wonderful to see you too," Bane said, knowing the sentiment from his long-standing friend.

"We have much to catch up on. However, that will need to wait for a later time," Savok stated. "I believe you and your crew are on hold waiting for your ship to be repaired and refurbished." It was a statement not a question.

"That is correct, sir. I had my Chief of Operations work out a schedule so every trained crewman assigned to my ship rotates in to help the shipyard with the repairs while also maximizing shoreleave and off-duty time. So far, it seems to be working out. The Commodore in charge of it is pleased with their work ethics."

"Undoubtedly. You have always run an efficient ship, Captain. Have you and your crew had the opportunity to visit Calisto?"

"We have," Bane said, sitting down in the chair opposite Savok. It was comfortable, almost feeling like a hug. Bane desperately wanted a chair like this for his quarters on the Cygnus and decided right then he would find one. "The citizens of Elysia have afforded us a rather nice are of housing. It reminds me a lot of Talretzia on Bajor."

Savok nodded. "It always reminded me of the Maldives on Earth." Plase shook his head indicating he had never heard of it or been there. "I am most pleased you have had the opportunity to go there. The Primarch of Elysia has actually just reached out to me this morning. It seems there was a massive atmospheric disturbance last night that has caused considerable damage to a festival they are about to put on. It is their most significant cultural festival on their planet. It is scheduled to take place in three days time. They have asked for Federation assistance in getting everything back up to par and ready for the festival to kick off at the scheduled time."

Bane nodded, a small frown on his face, his brow furrowed a bit. "Okay. And you want my crew to help out?"

Savok nodded. "That is correct. Your crew is the only crew assigned to this area that does not technically have anything to do, and Starfleet wishes to utilize you and your talents."

The junior officer nodded. "We are happy to help, of course. I will recall my crew from Shoreleave and from working on the Cygnus...."

Admiral Savok held up his hand, stopping Bane mid-sentence. "That will not be necessary, Plase. I still wish for you and your crew to work on the Cygnus, and to enjoy Shoreleave. Work it into your work rotation schedule. I am confident with the efforts of the Elysians and you and your crew, the festival will happen on time."

"Ok, we can do that," Bane said. The logistics of it would be incredible to plan out. Thankfully Commander Bast was due back today, and Commander Stovek was already neck-deep in the coordination of the Cygnus and Shoreleave.

"Good. I will send along the contact information of the Primarch, and let his staff know you and yours will be reaching out to him presently."

"Yes, sir," Bane said. There was nothing else to say. "With your permission, I would like to get started. It will be good to meet them and build those relationships even further. We still need to catch up. Maybe over breakfast in a few days," Bane stated, rising from his chair.

"That would be most agreeable. Peace and long life, old friend."

"May the Prophets be with you, my dear friend," Bane said in return.
