After the Ceremony

Location: Aboard the U.S.S. Cygnus
Timeline: During Shakedown

Once more back in full uniform, and standing at attention behind Dr. Ravi Winters, was Dr. Khalest T., quietly clapping her hands as the Dr. received her rewards and promotion. With the ceremony at an end, and the newly repaired ship having launched, the Klingon/Vulcan hybrid took this time to see how her own quarters had fared.

She made her way down the corridor, finding the door to her personal cabin. Scanning her access card, she entered the door as it slid open, and smiled when she saw nothing was amiss. She sighed softly. “It is good to be back aboard.” She felt like she was finally home again.

But home was different now. The ship had been completely rebuilt, and the pristine white corridors, and shining new quarters, while welcoming as the old ones had been, since her first day aboard the Cygnus, were still strange to her. She should do a bit of exploring before settling, perhaps. It was part of her job to know the basic map of the ship, for emergency purposes, in case she had to rush to someone's room. Leaving her new quarters, the Dr. began her exploration of the ship's rebuilt corridors.
