Mission: Shakedown
Location: USS Cygnus, Sickbay
Timeline: During Shakedown

(I'm too late to the party for the contest, but I thought I would still post this.)

:ON:

Khalest T. entered the Sickbay,a PaDD in hand. The doors slid open easily. “So far so good.” She looked around at the pristine surroundings, the several bays of biobeds set up at the back wall, and the brand new machines. Anything they would ever need from a full body bioscanner to the smallest Blood Pressure meter. She smiled, opening the drawers to see what was where, but frowned when she noted several missing medications. Also missing were two medical tricorders. She was sure this had already been recorded, as she was not the first to explore this newly built area, but she recorded this on her PaDD anyway. Several records stating the same thing was better than none.

“Forcefield Emitter activated.” Spoke a voice.

“Pardon?” She looked to the biobeds where, to her, that would be relevant. The Forcefields were usually used to restrain patients or to contain very contagious diseases. And yes, there were transparent blue forcefields over three of the beds at the back wall. “And this is why we say our system is bugged. Computer, deactivate forcefields over beds 5, 6, and 9.” She commanded.

“No Forcefields are activated at this moment.”

“Noted for the Engineers.” She recorded this glitch as well. She also thought she should avoid the beds, lest she be stuck in a forcefield and have to be let out. They shimmered in and out of existence around the beds. She shook her head in slight frustration. “Moving on from that.” She went on to explore the rest of Sickbay, wondering if they could still function with these glitches and malfunctions for the moment. Until the Engineers got to them, anyway.
